A satirical take on a number of observations I carried out to do with signage. I was researching into perceptions and preconception in society and youth in the modern age. I read a number of books including ‘Understanding Youth in Late Modernity’ and ‘Young people and Social Change’. I was challenging and considering the effect signage and rules have on young people as they are brought up and the limits set in modern society.

One thing frequently seen now is ‘anti-climb’ paint as an attempt to stop people climbing particular walls. This is usually accompanied by a bright yellow sign. I also read a number of articles of news citing how climbing trees by children is now no longer allowed, for example in schools, compared with it being a popular past-time for kids 20-30 years ago.
